I love it when a client's request sparks a new idea. That's precisely what happened when a recent customer asked for custom monogram tags to include, tied up with silk ribbon, with each of her outgoing birth announcements.
As soon as I saw how lovely they were, I got to thinking how fun it'd be to create some branded tags for Four Hats to use when packaging outgoing orders. And, so, I got my own logo design on press, and created these little goodies.
Oh, the places these could go! Here are some ideas:
1. Calling Cards
When I was younger, I remember all of my friends having "calling cards" of sorts, that they'd use on gifts for friends' birthdays. Before the age where writing a meaningful card made sense, the calling cards notified each gift's recipient who it was coming from. I can see these little tags being perfect for that use.
2. Photographer File or Print Delivery
These sweet little tags would be the perfect branded touch for a photographer's delivery of a USB or stack of prints—just a sweet way to thoughtfully let your client know who prepared their collection of precious memories.
3. Food Packaging
Do you make homemade salted caramels to give as hostess gifts? Are you known for your jars of signature chocolate fudge? Make your speciality item officially yours by creating custom tags to use in their packaging.
4. Event Branding
Are you hosting an event with a consistent design or color theme? Carry it out onto custom tags that you can use to tie up favors, napkins, or wine glasses. A little letterpress detail does wonders for adding luxury to thoughtful particulars of entertaining.
5. Homemade Clothing Tags
If you handmake children's clothes or quilts for family and friends, consider including a tag with a little note like "Made with Love by Nana" or "Lovingly Created by Laurel."
