Each wedding suite I design and print is as unique as the lives it brings together. It is so fun to get a little insight into each story in this way, and I was so excited to have the chance to work with Amanda and Mike for their destination wedding in wine country California this fall.
Amanda is a Chicago-resident and host of the podcast called She Did It Her Way that exists to celebrate the successes of female entrepreneurs and encourage others to figure out when and how to turn their dreaming into doing.
Amanda is also the epitome of laid-back bride. She had already begun the process of creating her invitations online when she reached out for help. She has excellent taste, but not a ton of time, so I was happy to take over, turning her elegant vision and into a hand-lettered and letterpressed pieces, complete with calligraphed envelopes.
We started with black ink and luxuriously sturdy textured cotton paper. The dark thick lines of their hand-lettered names pressed deeply into the thick paper really make an impact—classic with an upgrade.
I’ve no doubt these two will have a picturesque wedding in a stunning setting. Many joys ahead to the happy couple!
