Four Hats is all about customization and collaboration. Working in tandem with this couple for their upcoming Chicago wedding provided an opportunity to pull out all the stops! With a reception at the Waldorf downtown, the couple wanted their paper to be both elegant and classic, but with their touches of their personalities.
We stuck with a palette of greys and blacks for the pieces in their suite. Since it'll be a late fall wedding (and likely temps will have already dropped!) the grey was a great backdrop, allowing for them to add in seasonal elements and color. The double-thick paper was a great option for giving the detail of their invites a luxury texture. The hand-drawn floral element was incorporated in a couple of places and was a great way to soften the dark colors and up the femininity a bit.
The program covers were another fun detail and way to tie in the font style and floral motif. Printed on 110 lb paper, this is a great option for couples who want to create their interior pages at home before their ceremony. Since these details can come together quite last minute, this is a great DIY option. A simple elegant ribbon is a great way to secure the interior pages inside the cover and add a pop of color, if desired.
Envelopes are not an afterthought! I love carrying out the style with a return address printed on the back flap of the outer envelope and hand-writing each address on the front panel in calligraphy. This couple chose my new "Peachtree" style in white ink for their dark grey envelopes, and I love the way it turned out. Another way to up the ante of your envelopes is to add vintage stamps. I love combining stamps in similar color palettes or by theme. This is a great way to add extra personalized detail to your paper. I'll soon to be formally introducing this option for all Four Hats brides!
