Terms and Conditions

After deleting some apps and taking some time off of social media, I’m really at a crossroads with this space, particularly as it relates to my family and business life.

When I began, like many, this place was somewhere to share my excitement and interest. It then became a place to showcase my work, garner attention, make industry friends. I enjoyed it and my business grew.

Lately, I think I’ve been confusing social media success with real, satisfying wins. As my season changes and my life adjusts, instagram has just become an impetus to buy things I don’t need, to try and prove how efficient and productive I am, and to over-curate my life for the wrong reasons. I’m grasping at straws.

So I’m going to refrain. For a while anyway. I know media-quitters are all over the place these days. And maybe you don’t care why. But for me, I think it’s right. For now, I’m over and out. And I pray what saturated my time and attention will be filled with richer things.

You don’t need to reply. I don’t need to hear why you agree or don’t. I think it’s okay that I have my own thoughts and don’t feel the need to hear back from those I share them with. Lord help me return to reflection, stillness, quiet, so that I can hear from you.

This little lady, who came into the world almost a year ago, and has changed my life in the most wonderful way, is an unceasing reminder that I am not in control. We didn’t know if she would come, and then one day, two pink lines, and a reminder that God sits on the throne and what he wills and works is best. He is never late. If you’re waiting, hurtling, grieving, rejoicing, enjoying. . . This is still true. In some seasons, it’s easier to say and feel it. But it’s always true. 💗

Every now and then, I get on a kick and take a deep dive into learning about something. For the last few months, it’s been skin care. Specifically, Korean skin care because apparently, that’s the ticket. For some of you, this is not news.

I’ve been watching videos, reading articles, listening to podcasts, and trying to figure out the secret sauce to the beautiful, glowy skin I’ve never known. There’s something about this 30s, postpartum life that has made me want to learn how to do all the things that I probably should’ve learned how to do as a teenager. Alas, better late than never.

Are you a minimalist, a maximalist, a cozy minimalist, or somewhere on the spectrum? It’s fun to think about how our organizational tendencies (in our homes, closets, digital lives) can shed some light on our design sensibilities. In recent years, I’ve turned purging into an Olympic sport, so it’s no surprise that my stationery design has also gravitated more bare-bones. While I LOVED visiting the palace of Versailles a few summers ago, I think living there would stress me out 😂
